Simple meaning: Government Teacher वह शिक्षक होता है जो सरकारी या सरकारी व्यवस्था से जुड़े स्कूल/कॉलेज/विश्वविद्यालय में पढ़ाता है। लेकिन “Government Teacher” एक ही पद नहीं है। अलग-अलग classes और institutions के लिए qualification और recruitment process अलग हो सकता है।

सबसे पहले एक बहुत जरूरी बात

CTET/TET पास करना और Government Teacher की नौकरी मिलना एक ही बात नहीं है।

CTET या State TET मुख्य रूप से Teacher Eligibility Test है। इसका मतलब यह है कि आप संबंधित teacher eligibility requirement को पूरा करते हैं। इसके बाद actual Government Teacher recruitment के लिए संबंधित recruiting authority की vacancy, application, exam, merit list, document verification और अन्य conditions लागू हो सकती हैं।

इसलिए केवल “CTET पास = सरकारी शिक्षक की नौकरी” मानना गलत है। हर recruitment की latest official notification जरूर पढ़ें।

Government Teacher बनने के 6 बड़े Career Routes

Teaching career को समझने का सबसे आसान तरीका है कि इसे अलग-अलग teaching levels में देखें।

ध्यान दें: ऊपर की table career समझने के लिए broad India-wide roadmap है। Exact qualification, age, subject combination, TET requirement, recruitment examination और selection process राज्य तथा employer के अनुसार बदल सकते हैं।

1. Primary Teacher Career – Class 1 से 5 तक

Primary Teacher छोटे बच्चों को पढ़ाता है। इस स्तर पर केवल विषय का ज्ञान पर्याप्त नहीं होता। बच्चों को प्यार से समझाना, activity के माध्यम से पढ़ाना और उनकी basic learning मजबूत करना भी बहुत जरूरी है।

किसे पढ़ाते हैं?

आमतौर पर Class 1–5 के बच्चों को।

मुख्य पद

PRT यानी Primary Teacher जैसे पद।

मुख्य Eligibility

12th + teacher education qualification + applicable TET/CTET.

Primary Teacher बनने का सामान्य रास्ता

Class 6–10: Maths, Science, Hindi/English और General Studies जैसे subjects की मजबूत foundation बनाएं।

Class 11–12: अपनी रुचि और future course requirements के अनुसार stream चुनें। Teacher बनने के लिए केवल Science stream ही जरूरी नहीं है।

After Class 12: D.El.Ed., B.El.Ed. या उस recruitment के लिए मान्य अन्य teacher education qualification करें।

Eligibility Test: Central school route में CTET Paper I और state route में State TET की requirement हो सकती है।

Recruitment: संबंधित Government Teacher recruitment notification देखकर आवेदन करें।

KVS Primary Teacher – एक official example

KVS की 2025 official recruitment notification में Primary Teacher के लिए Senior Secondary/12th में कम-से-कम 50% तथा 2-year D.El.Ed., या 4-year B.El.Ed., या specified Special Education qualification जैसे routes दिए गए थे। CTET Paper I भी required था। Exact future recruitment के लिए नई notification देखना जरूरी है।

याद रखें: Primary Teacher के लिए D.El.Ed./B.El.Ed. जैसे elementary teacher education courses बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हैं। केवल graduation करने से हर primary teacher post के लिए eligibility अपने-आप नहीं बनती।

2. Junior / Upper Primary Teacher – Class 6 से 8

Class 6–8 के students छोटे बच्चों से आगे बढ़कर subject-based learning शुरू करते हैं। इसलिए इस स्तर पर teacher को अपने subject की अच्छी समझ के साथ teaching skill भी चाहिए।

CTET Paper II क्यों महत्वपूर्ण है?

CTET Paper II Classes VI–VIII के लिए बनाया गया है। इसमें Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II और subject option जैसे Mathematics & Science या Social Studies/Social Science शामिल होते हैं।

Junior Teacher का सामान्य roadmap

Class 10 तक सभी basic subjects मजबूत करें।
Class 11–12 में अपने पसंदीदा subject area पर ध्यान दें।
Graduation में उस subject को carefully चुनें जिसे future में पढ़ाना चाहते हैं।
B.Ed. या applicable integrated teacher education qualification करें।
CTET Paper II या State TET की requirement देखें।
Recruitment notification आने पर आवेदन करें।
Written exam/CBT, document verification और अन्य selection stages पूरा करें।

Important: “Class 6–8 Teacher” के लिए पूरे भारत में एक ही universal recruitment examination नहीं है। Central schools और अलग-अलग states के rules अलग हो सकते हैं।

3. High School Teacher – Class 9 और 10

High School Teacher सामान्यतः किसी specific subject को पढ़ाता है, जैसे Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science आदि।

High School Teacher के लिए सामान्य qualification

Relevant subject में Bachelor’s degree/Graduation.
B.Ed. या recruitment notification में दी गई equivalent teacher education qualification.
कुछ recruitments में TET/CTET या State TET requirement हो सकती है।
कुछ high-school recruitments में अलग subject-specific recruitment exam होता है।

बहुत जरूरी: High School Teacher के लिए CTET को हर राज्य और हर recruitment में compulsory मान लेना सही नहीं है। जिस school/employer की vacancy हो, उसकी latest official notification में TET requirement देखें।

Subject selection बहुत महत्वपूर्ण क्यों है?

उदाहरण के लिए यदि आप future में Mathematics Teacher बनना चाहते हैं, तो Graduation में Mathematics और संबंधित subject combination की requirement पहले देखना चाहिए। KVS जैसी recruitments में subject combination बहुत specific हो सकता है।

इसलिए Class 11 से ही future teaching subject सोचकर subjects चुनना बेहतर है।

4. Intermediate Teacher / PGT / Lecturer – Class 11 और 12

Class 11–12 को पढ़ाने वाले teachers को सामान्यतः PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) या कुछ राज्यों में Lecturer कहा जाता है।

PGT का सामान्य academic route

Class 11–12: जिस subject को future में पढ़ाना है उसमें strong foundation बनाएं।

Graduation: संबंधित subject में Bachelor’s degree करें।

Post Graduation: संबंधित subject में Master’s degree करें।

Teacher Training: B.Ed. या recruitment notification में स्वीकार qualification पूरी करें।

Recruitment: KVS/NVS/state education department/other employer की notification के अनुसार selection process पूरा करें।

KVS/NVS में PGT – official example

KVS/NVS Recruitment 2025 notification में PGT posts के लिए relevant Master’s degree और B.Ed. route दिया गया था। Subject-wise Master’s degree और graduation-level subject requirements भी अलग-अलग दी गई थीं।

इसलिए PGT बनने के लिए केवल “Master’s degree” लिखना पर्याप्त नहीं है। जिस subject का PGT बनना चाहते हैं, उस subject का exact qualification combination जरूर check करें।

5. Degree College Assistant Professor

अब हम school teaching से higher education की तरफ आते हैं। Degree College में teacher को सामान्यतः Assistant Professor कहा जाता है।

UGC-NET क्या है?

UGC-NET, National Testing Agency (NTA) द्वारा UGC की ओर से आयोजित eligibility test है। इसका उद्देश्य Assistant Professor तथा Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) और Assistant Professor के लिए eligibility निर्धारित करना है।

केवल Assistant Professor eligibility qualify करने वाले candidates को JRF automatically नहीं मिलता। Actual appointment concerned university/college/state government के recruitment rules पर निर्भर करती है।

सामान्य eligibility

UGC regulations के सामान्य framework में relevant Master’s degree में 55% marks और NET/SLET/SET की requirement दी गई है, subject to applicable rules and exemptions. कुछ candidates के लिए applicable PhD-based exemption भी हो सकती है।

ध्यान दें: UGC regulations में amendments और discipline-specific provisions हो सकते हैं। इसलिए Assistant Professor की actual vacancy के समय संबंधित University/College और latest recruitment notification को final authority मानें।

UP में Degree College Assistant Professor का उदाहरण

उत्तर प्रदेश में Government Degree College Assistant Professor की recruitment UPPSC के माध्यम से भी हो सकती है। UPPSC की official website पर Government Degree College Assistant Professor recruitment और examination information उपलब्ध रहती है।

6. University Teacher / Professor Career

University teaching एक long-term academic career है। इसमें teaching के साथ research, publications, seminars, academic projects और students की research guidance जैसी responsibilities भी हो सकती हैं।

University Faculty Career Ladder

Assistant Professor

Entry-level university faculty position. Qualification depends on UGC regulations and university recruitment rules.

Associate Professor

Higher academic position generally involving teaching, research and academic experience.

Professor

Senior academic position with substantial research, teaching and academic leadership responsibilities.

University Professor बनने का सामान्य roadmap

School education में strong academic foundation बनाएं।
Relevant Bachelor’s degree करें।
Relevant Master’s degree करें।
UGC-NET/SET/SLET की applicable eligibility पूरी करें।
Research career के लिए PhD करें।
Research papers, academic work और teaching/research experience develop करें।
University recruitment notifications पर apply करें।
Experience, research और applicable academic criteria के अनुसार आगे बढ़ें।

Important: UGC framework में Professor और Associate Professor appointments के लिए PhD requirement का उल्लेख है। Exact eligibility और promotion criteria applicable UGC regulations तथा university recruitment rules से verify करें।

Central Government Teacher बनने का रास्ता

यदि आपका लक्ष्य Central Government/central school system में teacher बनना है, तो CTET के साथ KVS और NVS जैसे organisations को समझना जरूरी है।

KVS

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. इसमें PRT, TGT, PGT आदि teaching posts की recruitment होती है।

NVS

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. इसमें TGT, PGT और अन्य notified teaching posts की recruitment हो सकती है।

CTET

Central Teacher Eligibility Test. यह eligibility framework का important हिस्सा है, लेकिन appointment guarantee नहीं है।

KVS/NVS recruitment कैसे समझें?

Official recruitment notification जारी होती है।
Post और subject के अनुसार eligibility check करें।
Online application करें।
Computer Based/Written recruitment stages दें।
जहाँ लागू हो Tier-2/subject examination दें।
Interview/skill test यदि notification में हो तो दें।
Document verification और medical/other formalities पूरी करें।
Final merit/appointment process पूरा करें।

KVS/NVS Recruitment 2025 की official notification में teaching posts के लिए अलग-अलग post-wise qualification, subject requirements और selection process दिया गया था। इसलिए हर नई recruitment में पुराने rules copy करने के बजाय नई notification पढ़ना सबसे सुरक्षित तरीका है।

State Government Teacher बनने का रास्ता

State Government schools में teacher recruitment प्रत्येक राज्य के अपने rules के अनुसार होती है।

दोनों levels के लिए दोनों papers की आवश्यकता हो सकती है।
CTET में MCQ-based examination होता है।
Official bulletin के अनुसार CTET में negative marking नहीं होती।
Qualifying CTET अपने-आप नौकरी नहीं देता।
CTET certificate की validity lifetime है, subject to applicable rules.

State TET क्या है?

State TET यानी किसी राज्य द्वारा आयोजित Teacher Eligibility Test। इसका उद्देश्य उस राज्य के teacher eligibility framework के अनुसार candidates की eligibility निर्धारित करना होता है।

उदाहरण के लिए उत्तर प्रदेश में UPTET का official portal UP DElEd website पर उपलब्ध है।

CTET और State TET में अंतर: CTET central framework के लिए महत्वपूर्ण है, जबकि State TET संबंधित राज्य के teacher recruitment ecosystem में उपयोग होता है। कौन सा TET किस vacancy के लिए मान्य है, यह recruitment notification से confirm करें।

Teacher बनने के लिए कौन-कौन से Courses होते हैं?

D.El.Ed.

Diploma in Elementary Education. Primary/elementary teaching route में महत्वपूर्ण teacher education qualification।

B.El.Ed.

Bachelor of Elementary Education. Elementary teaching के लिए integrated undergraduate teacher education programme।

B.Ed.

Bachelor of Education. कई secondary/senior secondary teaching recruitments में important qualification।

ITEP

Integrated Teacher Education Programme. 12th के बाद 4-year integrated teacher education route।

M.Ed.

Hindi या English – किस भाषा में तैयारी करें?

Teacher exams में language options examination के अनुसार अलग हो सकते हैं। CTET जैसे exams में Hindi और English सहित multiple language options official bulletin में दिए जाते हैं।

यदि आप Hindi medium student हैं, तो concepts Hindi में समझकर important English terms को साथ-साथ सीखें। इससे future teaching और competitive exams दोनों में मदद मिलेगी।

Government Teacher Career – Frequently Asked Questions

1. Government Teacher बनने के लिए कौन सा exam देना पड़ता है?

एक ही exam सभी Government Teachers के लिए नहीं होता। Primary/elementary routes में CTET/State TET important हो सकते हैं। TGT/PGT और state recruitment में अलग recruitment examinations हो सकते हैं। College teaching में UGC-NET/SET/SLET तथा university/state recruitment rules लागू हो सकते हैं।

2. क्या CTET पास करने से Government Teacher की नौकरी पक्की हो जाती है?

नहीं। CTET eligibility test है। Actual appointment के लिए संबंधित recruitment authority की vacancy और selection process पूरा करना पड़ता है।

3. Primary Teacher बनने के लिए B.Ed. जरूरी है?

KVS जैसी central school recruitment में TGT posts के लिए CTET Paper II requirement दी गई है। लेकिन सभी states और employers के लिए एक ही rule मानना सही नहीं है।

6. PGT बनने के लिए कौन सी degree चाहिए?

सामान्यतः relevant Master’s degree और B.Ed. route महत्वपूर्ण है। Subject-specific requirements अलग हो सकती हैं।

7. क्या Science student Teacher बन सकता है?
